INTRODUCING...Stella McCartney for GAP Kids

If you didn't know Stella McCartney has teamed up with GapKids for a limited collection. Read below for more deets on how this came about...

Gap is proud to announce the debut of Stella McCartney for GapKids and babyGap.
Stella McCartney creates a collection for boys and girls from 0-6 months to 12 years. The collection features her signature touches – a soft color palette, familiar silhouettes and her unique mix of unexpected pieces, creating looks that stay true to Stella's unique vision, reinterpreted with GapKids' playful, child-like charm, keeping fun and practicality at the forefront of the design intent.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to build on successful past collaborations with a world class design talent like Stella," said Marka Hansen, President of Gap brand. "I'm looking forward to offering our GapKids and BabyGap customers her unique interpretation of Gap's casual American aesthetic. Her experience as a parent and designer are sure to delight both kids and parents alike."

Stella McCartney comments, "For years now I've wanted to create a collection for kids, it's something I've often been asked about. I believe that this one off collaboration will be a great way for customers to be able to participate in the Stella McCartney brand. I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important at the moment given the current climate. It's really exciting for us to do a boys and girls collection for the first time."

The collection will be carried in select GapKids and babyGap stores in the United States and Canada, the UK, France and Ireland, and Japan, as well as online in the US.

If you have a child(ren) like me (in my case - child) then you'd probably want to cop a few pieces from this collection. I'm already thinking about how cute Jeremiah would look in this ensemble

But what I really want is this Balmain inspired marching band jacket for him! TOO CUTE. But it's not available on the GAP site yet...

So if anyone wants to be a kind, generous soul and wants to play dress up with my son, we would totally appreciate it! Thanks :D

It's the Little Things

My Mother's Day:
My mom jumps into my bed with me screaming "Happy Mother's Day" and I'm not having it. It is the worse when your in a deep sleep and get woken up. I managed to open my eyes to check the time and it was 7:56am....pshhhhhhh....too damn early still for me. I like to sleep in. But Jeremiah heard all the commotion and got up, walked into my room, and handed me his Mother's Day gift for me that he's been wanting me to open since I picked him up at school on Friday. And this is what it was

Before he even shows me everything, I'm tearing up, I'm such a sap. It's the little things that get to me, just like when he randomly tells me "Mommy, I love you" I just wanted to share this story with you.

We got up and went to church. Had an early brunch with my mom and that was the highlight of my Mother's Day. Didn't do much or get much, but I wasn't expecting anything, really, so I wasn't too disappointed. Everyone that matters to me greeted me a Happy Mother's Day...and that was enough for me. I am just very grateful that people appreciate what a special day this is to mothers. Thank you.

Jeremiah means...

So, I feel suupppppppppperr stupid, I was on the phone with an admissions lady regarding school (yes, I am considering going back to school, that's a topic for another post) anyways, she asked if I was INDEPENDENT or dependent. I said INDEPENDANT (woman indeed :D). Then she proceeded to ask...."so you are not married or have any children?" I said "Yes, I do have a child" She asked his name and I proudly said JEREMIAH! She commented on what a beautiful name that was and she asked me "do you know what it means?"

Gahhhhh!!! I said "Noo, I forgot." DAaYMMmm, I don't even know what my son's name means, let alone my own name. For all I know JEREMIAH is a biblical name. So I looked it up and his name means 'to uplift, to lift up' Thus is the very reason I feel my life has that much more meaning. Jeremiah brightens my day, makes my day, he's my world! He is exactly as his name says...he is uplifiting! If you haven't met him, then you are missing out. He is a bright boy and I am very proud of him. He is such a character and will definitely school you in Thomas & Friends, Transformers, and Star Wars. Booooo-yah!

Shit, I don't even know what my name means...all I can remember is that it is the feminine form for Michael. Time to look that up....

Kiss Me Thru the Phone

caught Jeremiah singing along in the car one day and it cracked me up! So I asked him to do it again, but it wasn't as good. You just had to be there the first time.

(please excuse the extra in the back...that's my mother folding laundry, while watching ABS-CBN hahhaha)

BECAUSE WHO DOESN'T...want to meet my lil' man!

Four Eyes

I needed a reason to take some time off because work has been slow lately and I have about 13 days PTO (see I’m good, I don’t call in-sick ever). I hope sometime this summer I can use all that PTO and go on vacay. Definitely using some of it for my trip to Disneyland in July. I also wanted to go back to NYC with my Buff, but we just have to see about that though…funds and other personal issues seem to always be in the way. Yes, I digress, I know…so back to the point of this post. I decided to take a ½ day and take me and my lil’ man to get our eyes checked. FUN!

For those of you that have known me since forever know that I (am suppose to) wear eyeglasses. Yep, that’s the deal, since 2nd grade I’ve had to wear glasses. I do have to say I had the most stylish glasses ever…they were hot pink with green like lines on em and better yet, I had a velcro rainbow case to go with it. Daym I wish I had a picture I can post of me with these glasses, YOU WOULD DIE, that’s a guarantee. If I find old childhood pictures I will be sure to post em in the future, those are so fun to look at. (again I digress, sorry). Anyways, I decided to stop wearing my glasses for some reason in HS and never cared after.

Low and behold…my check-up was done and the doctor said “Alright, Michelle, let’s go out there and find you some frames!” (<-- that I already knew) Yipee! This time I want some really nice ones that I won’t mind wearing all the time, but I could not find any cute ones that fit my swagger! Haha. So I am on a hunt for some nice frames within the next week. Perhaps some Gucci or Dior ones. “CHA-CHING!!”

while waiting...Jeremiah was into his Trumpet 'Divining the Future' Mag, while I had to fill out paperwork.

Jeremiah's first eye doctor appt. He was kinda scared. Well the huge moving machines are a lil scary looking.

BECAUSE WHO DOESN'T...like check-ups
